Position Overview
Responsible for carrying out manual / repair welding
Reporting Relationships
Welding Supervisor
Position Responsibilities
Take responsibility for Safety, Quality and Production
Carry out manual and repair welding using the following processes
• Manual TIG - GTAW
• Manual Stick - SMAW
• Manual Pulse MIG - pGMAW
• Manual Flux Core - GSFCAW
• Arc - Air Gouging
These duties are outlined in the following job description documents:-

V - JD037 - Welder Mechanised
Attributes / Skills / Required / Sought
Skills will be assessed by the Welder Trainer during testing programme and on-the-job
Awareness / experience of delivery to standards for:
• Safety
• Quality
• Productivity
Experience and Education
Apprentice Trained
Coded pipeline welder
Experience of pipeline, spool base and offshore pipe lay would be relevant – will be expected to commence operations with minimal training
Experience with exotic metals would be preferred
Would be expected to work on bases onshore and offshore worldwide.
