We have a current opportunity for a Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis.

The position will be based in the North West of Washington State, with a leading renewables manufacturing company.


Job Title: Maintenance Technician II

Pay: $28–$38/hour


Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician II performs preventative maintenance, addresses equipment downtime, and supports maintenance and engineering projects.

This role requires 4–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, or 2 years with a recognized trade certification.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on facility and production equipment using CMMS.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Support equipment setup, relocation, and modification for production needs.
  • Complete minor electrical or mechanical projects under supervisor direction.
  • Follow safety protocols, including Lock Out/Tag Out, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Test and inspect low-voltage electrical equipment for faults.
  • Maintain accurate records in CMMS and follow work orders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance procedures.
  • If certified, perform wiring, panel building, and electrical installations per code.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs; work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.



Qualifications

Skills

  • Proficient in reading wiring, pneumatic, hydraulic, and ladder logic schematics.
  • Familiar with PLCs (e.g., Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat), robots, AC/DC drives, and motion control.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of 1- and 3-phase systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS usage.

Traits

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking.

Education & Experience

  • 4–5 years of maintenance experience or 2 years with one of:
  • 309A Electrician
  • 433A Industrial Mechanic



Preferred: CMMS experience, forklift/scissor lift certification, and working knowledge of electrical or hydraulic systems.
