THE OPPORTUNITY – MAINTENANCE DELIVERY MANAGER
 
The Maintenance Delivery Manager ensures the ongoing fitness for service and reliability of asset infrastructure across both onshore and offshore operations. The role is accountable for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of all maintenance and integrity execution activities, ensuring assets remain available, compliant, and capable of meeting production demands.
 
The position holds accountability for delivering SAP-derived maintenance and integrity work scopes, including work order backlog, statutory, and anomaly (WSE) management, in line with agreed budgets and performance targets. Central to the role is the effective planning and deployment of resources to meet maintenance demand, ensuring the right capability and capacity are in place across the asset.
 
The Maintenance Delivery Manager owns the integrated maintenance scheduling process across the hub, ensuring alignment between operations, maintenance, and integrity priorities. The role plays a key part in Turnaround (TAR) planning and execution, contributing to safe and successful delivery of major maintenance events.
 
In addition, the role is accountable for critical equipment management processes, ensuring risks are identified, prioritised, and mitigated to protect asset integrity and operational continuity.
 
Through strong leadership, coordination, and performance management, the Maintenance Delivery Manager drives reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the asset.

Spirit Energy currently have a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement for all office-based workers. 4 days must be worked in the office with compulsory days being Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The fourth day worked in-office (either Monday or Friday) is of the worker’s choosing but should be in keeping with what is most efficient and effective for their team. The office is open 5 days a week for full time, in-office working if this is the contractor’s preference.  
 
AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…
In role, you will be required to:
 
Asset Integrity & Fitness for Service
  • Ensure asset infrastructure remains fit for purpose, safe, and compliant at all times.
  • Maintain integrity of plant and equipment in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactive management of degradation, defects, and integrity threats.
 
Maintenance & Integrity Delivery
  • Delivery of SAP-derived maintenance and integrity plans (including WSE and anomaly management).
  • Execution of maintenance backlog in line with priority, risk, and business targets.
  • Delivery of maintenance activities within agreed budget and performance parameters.
 
Resource Planning & Capability
  • Effective workforce planning to meet maintenance demand across onshore and offshore operations.
  • Ensure appropriate competence, capacity, and contractor support is in place.
  • Optimise utilisation of resources to balance cost, efficiency, and delivery.
 
Maintenance Scheduling & Integration
  • Ownership of integrated maintenance scheduling across the asset / hub.
  • Alignment of maintenance plans with operations, production priorities, and shutdown windows.
  • Optimisation of schedule adherence and execution efficiency.
 
Turnaround (TAR) Delivery Support
  • Key contributor to Turnaround planning and execution.
  • Ensure maintenance scopes are clearly defined, prioritised, and deliverable.
  • Support safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of TAR events.
 
Critical Equipment & Risk Management
  • Ownership of critical equipment processes and risk identification.
  • Prioritisation of maintenance activities based on risk, consequence, and business impact.
  • Assurance that critical barriers are maintained and effective.
 
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Drive maintenance performance through KPIs (e.g. backlog, schedule compliance, cost control).
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Promote standardisation, efficiency, and best practice across the asset.
 
Stakeholder & Interface Management
  • Effective collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Integrity, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Clear communication of priorities, risks, and delivery status.
  • Alignment of cross-functional activities to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Act as a Lead investigator using Kelvin TopSet investigation techniques to support business requirements.
 
  • Any other associated duties as reasonably required
 
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
  • Strong engineering background, with extensive E&P industry relevant experience in Maintenance delivery.
  • Demonstrable record in Health, Safety and Environment management, complying with legislation underpinned with (IOSH/NEBOSH), Offshore Safety/Survival training and other relevant competencies.
  • Proven people management experience and a flexible leadership style dependent on the situation – e.g. collaborative to authoritative.
  • Proven experience of and the ability to stimulate creativity, innovation and change culture, coach individuals and manage real change across a diverse workforce.
  • Must be able to make challenging business decisions, balancing technical and business risk, both in the short and long term
  • Qualified to degree level or similar
  • Ideally Chartered Engineer or advanced Engineering Qualification.
