Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) Campaign Coordinator
Location: Buliisa, Uganda (Site Based)
Rotation: 28/28

Contract Duration: 12 months

Our client, a leading operator in the energy sector, is currently seeking a Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) Campaign Coordinator to join a major oil development project in Uganda.
Reporting to the Maintenance & Inspection Superintendent, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating preventive maintenance and inspection activities across Central Processing Facilities (CPF) and wellpad facilities, ensuring operational readiness and efficient campaign execution.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Inspection Planning
  • Participate in daily SAP (UNISOL) notification review meetings.
  • Prepare and organize intervention schedules based on planning priorities and material availability.
  • Coordinate preparation and readiness of M&I activities with trade supervisors.
  • Monitor work progress and report potential blocking points to the M&I Superintendent.
  • Track M&I KPIs to ensure operational efficiency and highlight deviations where necessary.
  • Act as the site focal point for CMIMS coordination.
  • Ensure strong alignment between maintenance and inspection activities.
Wellpad Campaign Coordination
  • Prepare and coordinate intervention schedules for wellpad maintenance campaigns.
  • Ensure activities are planned according to priorities, equipment readiness, and material availability.
  • Provide close attention to critical equipment including:
    • AGC Units
    • ESP VSDs
    • MPFMs
    • Fired Heaters
    • GTG Packages
  • Identify and escalate constraints or missing materials that could affect campaign performance.
Operations & Reporting
  • Issue preventive maintenance schedules for CPF and wellpad facilities.
  • Track and manage CMIMS notifications and work orders in SAP/UNISOL.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned processes.
  • Support onboarding and training of planners or supervisors on CMIMS planning protocols.
Project Environment
The role is part of a large-scale onshore oil development project located in a remote and environmentally sensitive region of Uganda. The project operates in a complex environment that requires strict adherence to HSE standards, operational procedures, and regulatory compliance, while coordinating activities across a multicultural workforce and multiple international contractors.

Candidate Requirements

Education
  • Minimum HND / Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a planner or campaign coordinator in similar industrial environments (Oil & Gas facilities, FPSO, or processing plants).
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP CMIMS and maintenance planning tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Familiarity with international HSE standards and oil & gas operational environments is advantageous.
