Structural / Architectural Supervisor

Location: Project / Yard / Offshore

We are currently seeking an experienced Structural / Architectural Supervisor to support the delivery of a major oil & gas project. This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all structural steel and architectural construction activities on site, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities Structural Scope Supervision
  • Supervise fabrication and erection of structural steel including decks, trusses, pipe racks, platforms, stairs, ladders, and supports
  • Ensure all alignment, welding, and bolting activities are carried out in accordance with drawings and standards (e.g. AISC, AWS D1.1, API RP2A)
  • Monitor installation of load-bearing structures and support systems
  • Coordinate lifting, fit-up, and assembly of large modules and skids
Architectural Scope Supervision
  • Oversee installation of architectural finishes including partitions, flooring, wall systems, ceilings, doors, windows, and furnishings
  • Monitor installation of cladding, insulation (thermal, fireproofing, acoustic), and waterproofing systems
  • Supervise interfaces between architectural works and MEP systems, including HVAC penetrations
Quality, HSE & Compliance
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications, drawings, codes, and client requirements
  • Enforce HSE procedures, PPE compliance, and permit-to-work systems
  • Participate in inspections, dimensional checks, and material verification
  • Support punch listing, NCR close-out, and final walkdowns
Coordination & Reporting
  • Interface with other discipline supervisors (piping, electrical, HVAC, painting) to resolve clashes and maintain progress
  • Attend daily coordination meetings and contribute to short-term planning activities
  • Provide regular updates on progress, manpower, and site activities to project leadership
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong technical knowledge of structural steelwork and architectural construction methods
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, architectural layouts, and detailed design documents
  • Hands-on experience with offshore modules, building interiors, and steel erection
  • Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, or 3D model viewers (desirable)
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills within multidisciplinary environments
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Post-graduate experience in structural and/or architectural construction
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong reporting capability
