Job Description:
The Logistics Technician II will be responsible for providing logistics and procurement support to the Bioscience Laboratories in Irvine. Also known as the (BLI) Manufacturing department. In accordance with all corporate standards, Ministry of Health regulations, and emerging trends within industry. Logistic Technician's will assist in the warehouse floor with recieving materials and performing inventory inspections, as well as assisting with SAP transactions and reaching out to vendors to follow up with order related issues.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Perform receipt and inspection of incoming manufacturing materials.
• Physically move materials from the warehouse to storage locations or manufacturing areas.
• Perform SAP transactions to receive materials.
• Address problems with order flow or shipping delays, such as damaged or improperly packed goods, as well as day-to-day concerns with warehouse capacity and production deadlines.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Track inventory usage and order direct and indirect materials to maintain inventory as needed. Track orders to fulfillment.
• Create or update materials in SAP
• Ensure proper documentation for all activities performed, following BLI procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and revise procurement, logistics and shipping SOPs and forms as necessary.
• Issue out materials to the manufacturing department for use during batch production.
This position requires the ability to understand the customers’ needs and appropriately prioritize the daily tasks. Internal requirements include compliance with ethics, environmental health and safety, financial, human resources, cGMP procedures, general business policies, requirements, and objectives.
Qualifications:
• H.S diploma. Associate degree or equivalent breath of experience preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of warehouse and SAP experience.
• Experience in a GMP regulated environment (FDA regulated.)
• Experience in an aseptic manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Able to work in a confined controlled environment and function effectively as a team member
• Must be computer proficient including Microsoft Word and Excell
