Role Overview
Coordinate and follow up all logistics operations for the project works in close collaboration with EPC contractor logistics, port/customs authorities, and internal project teams. Early scope centers on the project port dredging activities, scaling across transportation, customs, warehousing, and site deliveries to keep construction on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop logistics plans covering transport, customs, warehousing, and site delivery schedules.
• Liaise with marine/freight forwarders, customs agents, and suppliers to coordinate shipments.
• Manage customs clearance, import/export documentation, bonded procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Support procurement and construction by tracking material status and resolving delays.
• Monitor and audit contractor unloading/transport/logistics systems, procedures, and detailed schedules.
• Ensure efficient shipping documentation processes for customs clearance.
• Coordinate with Doha and RLC port authorities; assess constraints and recommend improvements to unloading/transport.
• Optimize warehousing, inventory, storage, and laydown areas.
• Coordinate personnel logistics for mobilization/demobilization.
• Track logistics KPIs, control costs, and issue periodic reports/forecasts.
Reporting & Interfaces
• Reports to: Project Manager (Dredging)
• Internal: PMT, RLIC, Operations Engineering, Supply/Materials/Interface/Contracts teams
• External: EPC contractor/subcontractors, vendors, specialist consultants
Job Context & Challenges
Vessel clearances and scheduling, dangerous goods declarations, EPC manifests, port congestion, customs hold-ups, weather delays, and multi-stakeholder alignment across construction and supply-chain interfaces.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• 8+ years’ business-related experience, including 4+ years in Oil & Gas.
• Background with operators, EPCs, vendors, or service companies in the sector.
• Familiarity with international shipping, customs/bonded storage, and Middle East procedures.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills; fluent English; solid MS Office.
• Proven leadership, coordination, communication, and mediation/problem-solving capabilities.
