Job Opportunity: LNG Tanks Field Construction Superintendent

Location: Mozambique (rotational position)

Sector: LNG Onshore Mega Project

We are seeking a Field Construction Superintendent with deep experience in LNG storage tank construction to join a major onshore LNG project in Mozambique. This large-scale development includes two LNG trains, condensate and LNG storage, marine facilities, utilities, and more, with construction peak manpower exceeding 15,000.

In this role, you will oversee the EPC Contractor’s activities for LNG Tanks 1 & 2, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery from construction through to handover. You will lead site execution, interface daily with the contractor, and ensure work is aligned with construction procedures and project milestones. A key responsibility includes promoting and enforcing a robust safety culture and ensuring all HSE standards are maintained.

We are looking for a proven leader who can:

  • Monitor and coordinate tank construction activities
  • Drive progress reporting and risk identification
  • Ensure seamless interface with commissioning and SIMOPS
  • Develop strong working relationships with contractor teams
  • Lead by example in HSE performance and field presence

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ experience, including 5+ years as superintendent
  • Direct experience in LNG tank construction (mandatory)
  • Major greenfield project background (LNG/GTL/Refinery/Petrochem)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and HSE focus
  • Fluency in English (Portuguese or French an advantage)
