Job Title: LNG Plant Buildings Superintendent
Location: Mozambique – LNG Onshore Project
Rotation: Site-Based, Rotational Assignment
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee buildings and infrastructure delivery for a major LNG development in Northern Mozambique. This is a world-class, multi-billion-dollar project comprising two LNG trains (13 mtpa), storage facilities, marine infrastructure, utilities, resettlement villages, permanent camps, and supporting infrastructure. At peak, over 15,000 site personnel will be involved, making this one of the largest energy construction projects globally.

The role is based at the Afungi site in Northern Mozambique, a remote location with significant logistical, health, and security challenges. Strong resilience, adaptability, and cultural awareness are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visible safety leadership and ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements across all works.
- Supervise a team of up to 20 and coordinate EPC contractors and subcontractors to achieve safe, timely, and high-quality construction.
- Monitor contractor performance, identify risks, propose mitigation, and report regularly to the project management team.
- Lead daily and weekly progress meetings, ensuring execution plans and resources align with project priorities and milestones.
- Verify that works are performed in accordance with approved procedures, plans, and national standards.
- Collaborate closely with other superintendents, engineers, planners, vendors, and authorities to achieve project deliverables.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Degree or diploma in a relevant engineering or construction discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil & gas or major energy construction projects.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with strong emphasis on HSE, quality, schedule, and cost.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Fluency in English essential; Portuguese or French advantageous.
