  • Part of the Lifting Technical Authority function is to provide assistance and support to all stakeholders for the definition of any aspect related to the lifting process;
  • Act as the competence center for the definition of guidelines and instructions for the operation and control of the lifting activities;
  • To perform their duties in strict connection with the Lifting Teams and in coordination with all the other departments involved in the lifting process (e.g., HSE, QA/QC, Maintenance, and Procurement);
  • Support the overall process, from the definition of the correct Lift Plan to the monitoring and feedback on the lifting activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of the Geographical Unit (GU) Lifting Management System to comply with both local regulatory requirements and Lifting & Hoisting Manual guidelines.
  • Technical advice on matters pertaining to lifting operations deviations or non-compliances. Key activities:
  • Provide support to Maintenance Teams as necessary in the detail and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activities on all lifting equipment;
  • Fully conversant with the inspection of lifting equipment and concept of discard criteria;
  • Adopt safe working practices at all times with regards to lifting operations and in accordance with statutory and Company operating procedures;
  • Provide support as required to the Lifting and HSE teams in determining the lift categorisation, planning process and the preparation of risk assessments;
  • Provide technical support for the selection and qualification of Lifting Operation Contractors/Sub-contractors;
  • Develop and maintain networks and relationships with key peers and colleagues in other GU's for the purposes of adopting and promoting best practice within Company, sharing information and ideas whilst keeping abreast of new initiatives and technologies within the Lifting Technical Authority discipline;
  • Ensure all relevant lifting equipment performance, certification and condition data are recorded accurately for input into the Company's data recording system;
  • Define standards for and participate in the monitoring and assessment of lifting operations;
  • Contribute in conjunction with HSE Dept to the Site's safety effectiveness through recommending improvements in procedures and work practices. Promote a continuous improvement culture within the team; Health, Safety and Environment (HSE):
  • Comply with rules and standards described in Company Policies, HSE Integrated Management System and Procedures;
  • Report all incidents;
  • Motivate colleagues to comply with HSE rules and standards;
  • Participate in HSE related initiatives ensuring the proper spreading and information within the department;
  • Ensure the compliance, within, the responsibilities, of contractors on company's HSE Standards, regulatory documents and any other process;
  • Contribute proactively to support company in reaching the HSE assigned objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Vietnamese National with Bachelor's degree in related fields;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Lifting Operations and/or Construction in Upstream Operations;
  • Knowledge of operative procedure, Company's policy and International Standards in Lifting and Hoisting operations;
  • Knowledge of contractual requirements for lifting services provision;
  • Methods and techniques for process and Contractors' monitoring and control;
  • Knowledge of audit techniques and services vendor qualification;
  • Knowledge of benchmarking techniques;
  • HSEQ Policy, mission and Management System (transversal);
  • Good degree of computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs;
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.

Working Conditions:

  • Time constraints, constant pressure to meet deadlines;
  • Working schedule is estimated from 07.00 am to 19.00 pm everyday on the operational period;
  • During Drilling Ops in case of urgent needs, could be requested to follow night operations.
