Learning Operations Associate
Contract Duration: Contract through the end of 2026
Location: North Chicago, IL- Hybrid (3 days onsite, Tues-Thurs, M&F remote)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (based on business needs)
Interviews: 1 virtual screen + onsite interview
Openings: 2 (covering employees on leave)
Pay Rate: $27/HR
 
Position Overview
Orion Group is hiring a Learning Operations Associate to support the Learning & Development team by overseeing the coordination and administration of training initiatives, compliance requirements, and Learning Management System (LMS) activities.
This is a fast-paced, dynamic role that requires strong time management, adaptability, and the ability to pivot among multiple priorities. The individual will serve as the LMS Administrator and support onboarding, compliance tracking, reporting, and training facilitation.
A pharmacy background is not required. Candidates with experience in Learning & Development, LMS administration, or corporate training operations are strongly preferred.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as LMS Administrator, managing course assignments, compliance tracking, and report generation
  • Oversee training compliance requirements, including course facilation and assignment management
  • Coordinate all Learning & Training administrative tasks including onboarding/offboarding logistics
  • Support and periodically facilitate new hire training sessions
  • Manage employee training files and training matrices to maintain compliance standards
  • Run compliance and training completion reports; analyze data and communicate findings clearly to leadership
  • Support LMS enhancements and provide technical assistance to end users
  • Coordinate classroom setup, technology support, and on-site event logistics
  • Moderate classrooms and assist facilitators and participants during training sessions
  • Support audit preparation and compliance reporting
  • Provide general administrative support to the Learning & Training team as needed
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in Learning Operations or LMS administration
  • Strong technical expertise with Learning Management Systems (ComplianceWire experience a plus)
  • Experience facilitating training and supporting onboarding initiatives
  • Intermediate-level content development experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint

Additional Information
