The service holder will be responsible for the technical activities related to Umbilical and FOC design, manufacturing and installation on SURF package for Absheron Project team

Activities

• Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour regarding H3SE, implement H3SE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility and comply with H3SE training requirements for the position.
• Be informed of SURF-related contractual documentation, Company Rules and Specifications (CR’s/GS’s), international norms and standards, ensuring all the applicable requirements for the Absheron SURF package are incorporated during the umbilical detailed design, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning project phases.
• Ensure that all engineering, fabrication, construction, testing, qualification pre-commissioning and commissioning aspects are suitably addressed during the detailed engineering phase by timely reviewing and validating the relevant SURF documentation issued by Contractor and Vendors (technical documentation / queries / derogation requests).
• Ensure that HSE&Q issues are correctly handled in all umbilical and FOC related SURF technical documentation. Raise subsequently comments, highlight deviations, unacceptable or unjustified design choices that could affect SURF equipment during fabrication, installation, through to and including operation.
• Act, as technical referent vis-à-vis Contractor(s) on Umbilical and FOC and coordinate with other members of the SURF, SPS and Telecom Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with CTR and CPY multidisciplinary teams to ensure and optimize Umbilical and FOC delivery, installation and operational performance.
• Ensure adequate supervision and control of the fabrication and testing of all Umbilical and FOC equipment spread over several fabrication yards, ensuring that QA/QC and H3SE project policies and requirements are duly implemented, and controlling Contractors’ achievements in accordance with contractual requirements in all areas.
• Liaise with the other Package teams (Onshore, EPS, SPS, SURF Installation team etc.) for Interface & Risk Management matters with the support of the Interface & Risk Manager / Leader(s).
• Ensure the supervision and control of:

o the follow-up of testing and qualification activities (FAT, SAT, PQT etc) performed by Contractor(s)
o the pre-commissioning, the commissioning of all Umbilical and FOC equipment and the preparation of the offshore installation, including the hand-over of such equipment to other package or Contractor(s) for installation

• Participate to project reviews as requested by TotalEnergies referential (PR, DER, etc).
• Ensure safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of project
• Ensure adequate and timely reporting to the SURF Technical Manager, consolidation reports, concerns and issues.
• Be the technical referent on Umbilical and FOC matters
• Assist, as requested, the SURF Technical Manager with the relations with Partners, Authorities etc regarding SURF umbilical and FOC related technical matters, prepare and participate, as required, to Workshops / Committee meetings.
• Ensure confidentiality of any project documentation produced.
• Gather ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to other TotalEnergies entities as required and participate to Project close-out activities / report



Context and environment

The Absheron Conventional Gas & Condensates field is located offshore Azerbaijan Republic in the Caspian Sea in 500 meters depth, at about 100km southeast of Baku, 25km north-east of Shah Deniz field and 34km south of Oil Rocks production and processing facilities. The offshore subsea gas pipeline will be tied into the greenfield onshore Central Processing Facility (CPF) for Gas Condensate separation and compression.

Accountabilities

• The service holder shall support the execution of the Absheron FFD Detailed Engineering and additional Absheron extension FEED scope with regards to umbilical engineering studies, including optimization in the design.

Qualifications/Experience required

The service holder must possess strong experience in subsea deep/shallow umbilical engineering, including umbilical and FOC installation, interfaces and integration. Knowledge of project engineering practices, international codes, standards, procedures, and specifications is a must.
The Service holder shall have:

• Proven specialist experience in subsea deep and shallow water umbilical engineering and installation. Experienced in FOC installation, including nearshore and landfall.
• Familiar with applicable regulations, codes and standards, including Company Specifications and Rules.
• Collaborative, pragmatic, project goal orientated mindset.
• Advanced expertise in Oil & Gas Industry with large scale projects & complex environment,
• Experience of 15 years+ in Oil & Gas Projects,
• Expertise in Quality Assurance,
• Expertise in Quality Control,
• Expertise in NDT and metallurgy,
• English is the main language of the service,
• Part of the service will require worldwide mobility
