Role: Lead Quality Engineer

Location: East Suffolk

Background: Our client are looking to recruit a Lead Quality Engineer to join their delivery team supporting the works at Sizewell B station. The role joins a large client lead team responsible for multiple projects across a UK wide portfolio. The aim of the role is to provide leadership and promote best practise on quality matters within the site based project teams. This role reports to the Delivery Quality Lead.


  • Promote adoption of best practise.
  • Monitor and report the effectiveness of the quality management system and make recommendations for improvement where needed.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with QA procedures and requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant procedures.
  • Compile plan to address quality risks associated with in the portfolio.
  • Reviewing and assisting with Quality Plans, Programmes and Documents.
  • Work with Project Managers with inspections visits of manufacturers and subcontractors.
  • Champion Quality Assurance procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HND in Technical Discipline.
  • ISO9001 Internal Auditor certified.
  • Knowledge of ISO09001 standards and guidelines in Quality Management.
  • Demonstrable experience and skills in auditing of client and contractor activities.
  • Knowledge of Site License requirements.
  • Experience in the Nuclear industry is desirable.
