Role: Lead Planner Contract Length: 12 months Location: Thurso – full time on site Minimum Requirement: A vacancy has arisen within the portfolio team for a lead planner. This role provides a development opportunity to a lead role and also wider exposure at the portfolio level. The purpose of the post is to provide portfolio planning and performance management support for the business and the job holder will be responsible for development of targets, monitoring delivery of targets, managing audit of target achievement, reviewing plans, reviewing status updates, maintaining relevant controlled documents, developing planning capacity and capability within the organisation, and managing planning software. The role supports the portfolio level accountability data development and assessment, as well as works closely with the wider portfolio team in areas such as change control. The successful candidate will own the integrated project controls (IPC) guidance and ensure that best practices are maintained within the business. Responsibilities: Develop and implement relevant site procedures Undertake assurance and analyse programme schedule, identify developing problem areas, access norms and support change control reviews. Provide training and mentoring for the area of planning Analyse critical paths and restraints and integrate inter discipline schedule requirements to establish logical work sequence. Provide analytical feedback on overall portfolio performance into the portfolio level accountability sessions Provide oversight of targets, support external audit of targets, and ensure targets proposed support mission delivery Be the Client expert on planning systems, processes, and implementation Be the intelligent customer for Primavera P6 software Perform the responsibilities of authorisations relevant to post Manage Client staff as a line manager Essential: HND or equivalent qualification plus experience
