Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Lead Instrument Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Lead discipline engineers to ensure project delivery, technical quality of work produced by the team; to be able to demonstrate competence in the role and to assist with audits on others within the discipline team.
Provide input to project planning as part of the project team for achieving the target and completion within the budget and schedule; ensuring that all engineering work is carried out in accordance with Asset priorities and schedules as set out in the project plan.
Plan, budget and coordinate resources, contribute to the development of plans, schedules and estimates for the individual workscopes.
Preparation of engineering and construction scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates where necessary.
Review and report job progress and cost reports regarding engineering activities
Identification of increase or reduction in scope, raising the necessary support documents for Project Control Purposes

Knowledge & Skills
Specifying modifications to existing equipment or purchasing new equipment including but not limited to:
- ESD, DCS, F&G and Metering
- Valves
- Field Instrumentation including Pressure, Level, Temperature, Flow and Specialist Measurements
- SIL, High Integrity Systems
- Industrial Networking and Communications
Other associated equipment with the Oil and Gas industry

Qualifications and Experience:
Hold an engineering degree in a relevant engineering discipline and is a Chartered Engineer with sufficient post-graduate experience.
A reasonable level of the experience should be in a relevant theatre of operation.
Previous supervisory experience preferable.
Hold an HND in a relevant engineering discipline and working towards Chartered Status with sufficient post-graduate experience in the respective discipline.
A sufficient level of the experience should be in a relevant theatre of operation.
Previous supervisory experience essential.
