Lead Document Controller - London Based

The service holder shall manage the execution of the Document Control Scope of Work to ensure that it is in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

To maintain a strong relationship with EPcm contractor and the Project Team Department concerned in Tanzania to implement the Project Document Control activities.

* To manage in close coordination with EPcm contractor Document Control activities, supporting EPcm personnel in their roles, responsibilities and objectives, giving advice and proposing improvements whenever required.

* To be informed of Corporate procedures, related to Documentation Management and their application to the Project to define, develop, implement and maintain a Documentation Management plan detailing the strategy adopted, the organization set-up as well as the means and tools defined accordingly.

* To implement and maintain procedures, specifications, means and tools required to ensure an efficient management of all flows of documents either on an electronic form of on paper form during all the phases of the project and in all project work locations.

* To review and advise EPcm team whenever necessary on the implementation of the Documentation Management system at Contractors', referring to Corporate rules and procedures.

* To perform constant analysis of produced documentation to check for compliance with the project standards regarding numbering, graphic charts, used symbols and all others aspect related to document quality.

* To define, set-up, validate and maintain necessary means and tools for the timely preparation of the hand-over of documentation to Operations team.

* To coordinate with the Project Department concerned in Tanzania for the management of correspondence (mainly correspondence with Partners and Authorities).

* As a general manner, to provide assistance to the whole Project team for all matters related to documentation management activities.

* To timely report to the Project Control Manager, highlighting progress and any area of concern.

* To observe and impose strict confidentiality in the performance of the documentation management all along the course of the Project.

* To gather 'lessons learnt', provide feedback to other Project entities as required and participate in the enhancement of Project Document Control expertise within the Project.

* To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard H3SE and H3SE rules implementation

* To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to Ethics and project "code of conduct" policy

Required Skills and Experience:

* Professional Experience in the Same Industry.

* Experience in similar position.

* Perfectly with sound knowledge in Documentation management through EDMS

* Languages: fluency in English (speaking and writing)

* Be able to work well as a member of a Project Team and to positively communicate with his Contractor's counterpart.

* Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
