We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Governance to drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives for a leading organization within the energy sector.
This role will lead the implementation of data governance strategies, frameworks, and standards while ensuring high-quality, trusted, and accessible data across the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting digital transformation, AI governance, analytics, and enterprise data management.

This role will lead the implementation of data governance strategies, frameworks, and standards while ensuring high-quality, trusted, and accessible data across the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting digital transformation, AI governance, analytics, and enterprise data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide data governance strategy and roadmap.
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Drive data quality, metadata management, business glossary, and data lineage initiatives.
- Support AI governance and responsible AI implementation.
- Lead enterprise data literacy and organizational upskilling programs.
- Oversee governance within digital platforms, analytics, and data initiatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders, data owners, and IT teams to improve data quality and governance maturity.
- Lead implementation of governance technologies and enterprise metadata standards.
- Manage governance reporting, steering committees, and executive stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data policies and governance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of Data Management experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise Data Governance frameworks.

- Knowledge of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, BI platforms, and Data Modeling.
- Experience with Change Management and Stakeholder Management.
- Understanding of Database Systems, Enterprise Document Management Systems (EDMS), Information Security, and Enterprise Architecture.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Fluent English.
