Role Description:

The Lead Bid Analyst is a critical and very exciting role within our Client's expanding Renewables bid team.

It's a fantastic opportunity to work across technologies and jurisdictions with a highly capable team, providing critical bid analysis that informs bid strategy development and decision making for all our bids.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll be responsible for building the analytical capability within the team, along with generating and analysing relevant information to support bid development.

This will include in-depth statistical and probabilistic analysis to create a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape, including internal benchmarking against outputs of competitor analysis as well as technology, supply chain and pricing reviews, drawing conclusions and recommendations to inform the bid strategy development.

You'll also be accountable for developing in-house auction modelling capability and running complex models and scenarios to assess technical and commercial options that could benefit the bid strategy. You'll then use this information to draw conclusions from findings and communicate ideas and recommendations through written and verbal presentations.

You'll also be supporting the value improvement agenda across bid disciplines; analysing associated data to understand viability of options, and support work streams in driving activities forward to inclusion bids.

  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Ability to identify commercial opportunities within a business case
  • Understanding of capital investment
  • Good understanding of renewables industry and in particular bid economics and the energy market, as well as the capability to influence key stakeholders and articulate complex problems and analysis in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong understanding of key drivers, risks and sensitivities of financial bid modelling, along with the ability to challenge all aspects of bid costs and drive efficiencies in all areas of the business case
  • A sound knowledge of auction dynamics, game theory and probabilistic analysis and how to apply them in a dynamic bid environment will also be beneficial
  • Ideally, you'll have worked in renewables industry (either onshore or offshore)

Base Location:

Glasgow (the position offers flexible working options, working from home option available)

Working Pattern:

37 hours per week (flexible working patterns available)
