Lab Technician II

Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Lab Technician II for our Multinational Pharmaceutical client based in Haarlem. Initial 6-month contract, with possibility of extension. This is a fully onsite position.

Main Responsibilities of the role

• Work with complex systems or perform highly technical mechanical or diagnostic tests in medical or scientific laboratories. Controls where necessary preparatory work and provides materials and equipment.
• May draw up a simple experimental design itself under supervision.
• Changes in contract, trial design and execution.
• Performs, under supervision, trial productions and perform standard tests and provisions.
• Combines the data into a presentable form.
• Explains the work carried stuck in the lab journal.
• Is alert to differences in experiments, testing and provisions.
• Making calculations and performs automated data out.
• Displays results by contributors to samples and comments if necessary.
• Perform operations for the proper running of the laboratory (such as daily management of equipment).
• Detects equipment failures.
• Supporting activities such as ordering products, equipment management and cleanup.
• Works with moderate work direction and is skilled and knowledgeable to the position.

Required Qualifications and skills

• Technical Certificate or Lab experience required.
• Good safety record.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience in Pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
