Lab Tech III - Lab Operations Specialist
Location: Irvine, CA - 100% onsite required
Contract: 1 year - based on performance and business needs

Hourly Bill Rate: $27-30/hr (medical benefits available at a cost)

Purpose:
  • Sample inventory for stability, development, and GMP testing, including transfers of highly potent compounds, and coordinating compliant shipments between internal and external sites.
  • Oversee operation of storage devices and laboratory equipment, conducting GMP and Developmental Inductions, remote monitoring and issuing repair tickets to maintain uninterrupted operations and supporting biosafety compliance.
  • Escort third-party vendors during equipment qualification and maintenance and ensure adherence to regulatory and operational standards.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Manage sample inventory using the SAIS inventory system to support transfer, stability,
    development (R&D), and GMP studies.
  • Prepare and coordinate shipments of samples, including highly potent compounds.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external shipping protocols.
  • Support storage devices/equipment through submitting tickets to internal departments for GMP and Developmental.
  • Conduct regular laboratory walkthroughs to ensure biosafety and coordinate repairs.
  • Manage and replenish consumables (CO₂ Supply and LN₂ Supply) to maintain continuous operations.
  • Prepare common buffers and media to ensure quality in analytical methods.
  • Collect and distribute pipettes as part of equipment readiness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline, plus 5+ years’ experience in the field.
  • Familiarity with export-controlled technology requirements
  • Hands-on experience with handling and shipment of highly potent compounds
  • Demonstrated communication skills in English
  • Experience in a cross-functional, global environment, used to work with teams in a highly-matrixed environment
