Junior Geoscientist

Our client is a North Sea operator currently recruiting for the position of Junior Geoscientist, based in Aberdeen.
 
Responsibilities:

• Support geological and geophysical interpretation activities across development, drilling and exploration projects.
• Contribute to the management, quality control and analysis of subsurface datasets.
• Assist in subsurface mapping, reservoir characterisation and resource evaluation activities.
• Develop capability in industry-standard geoscience and digital tools through structured training and practical application.
• Prepare clear technical reports, presentations and supporting materials for a range of stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety, collaboration, continuous improvement and delivery of team objectives.

 
Experience & Qualifications:

• MSc or PhD in Geoscience completed prior to the role start date.
• Degree qualification completed within the last three years.
• Sound understanding of geology, geophysics and subsurface evaluation principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an aptitude for learning specialist geoscience software.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
