Interactive Project Manager
Location: Irvine, CA (Remote or Onsite – PST Hours)
Contract Length: 12 months (extension based on performance and business needs)
Work Schedule: Variable; workload may fluctuate and is not guaranteed to be a consistent 40-hour work week
$45-$49/HR based on health benefits

A 40-hour work week is never guaranteed. Once fully onboarded, workload is expected to average approximately 40 hours per week; however, hours may fluctuate based on project activity, Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) review cycles, development partner timelines, and shifting business priorities.
 
Role Overview

Orion Group is seeking an Interactive Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute digital and interactive projects to support integrated marketing campaigns for our pharmaceutical client in Irvine, CA.
This role partners closely with creative, account, development, and technical teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on strategy, and on budget in a fast-paced agency environment.
This position requires strong digital project management expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to problem-solve collaboratively across cross-functional teams and external partners.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of digital projects, including scope definition, timelines, and resource coordination
  • Develop and manage project schedules, scopes of work, and status reports, ensuring alignment with stakeholders
  • Facilitate regular status meetings to track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Manage routing of all digital assets through internal approval systems (e.g., ProofHQ, Workfront) and coordinate approvals with clients and cross-functional teams
  • Prepare and submit assets and documentation through the Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) review process, including Veeva
  • Coordinate interactive resources across studio, creative, and development teams to support project delivery
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party vendors, managing timelines, expectations, and issue resolution
  • Schedule team meetings, document discussions, and distribute meeting recaps with clear action items
  • Create, maintain, and organize project documentation, including technical documentation, server structures, specification sheets, and estimate tracking
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in an advertising, marketing, or creative agency environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing interactive and digital projects across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in project management, digital marketing, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Solid understanding of digital project lifecycles and various project management methodologies
  • Working knowledge of web technologies and current digital trends
  • Experience supporting regulated environments and approval workflows (MLR, Veeva)
  • Familiarity with Workfront, ProofHQ, or similar project management and review tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities
