About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support a critical Trade & Risk Management Data Store project. This role will play a key part in enabling data-driven decision-making by delivering high-quality business analysis, improving processes, and ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, translating them into effective solutions
  • Assess risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impact of proposed solutions
  • Analyse and model business processes, data flows, and technology landscapes to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop and present compelling business cases to support funding and prioritisation decisions
  • Maintain clear, traceable documentation of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure alignment between business needs and delivered solutions, including traceability through testing and scope changes
  • Collaborate with software vendors, designers, and developers to address system limitations and support solution design
  • Configure and document systems and processes in line with agreed standards
  • Define acceptance criteria and coordinate testing to validate solutions
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and facilitate large design workshops
  • Plan, execute, and manage business analysis activities within agreed cost, time, and quality constraints
  • Provide leadership to business analysis teams and set direction for delivery
  • Identify and propose continuous improvements
Project Overview
This role supports a Trade & Risk Management (TRM) Data Store initiative, designed to provide a trusted, system-agnostic data platform for trade and risk data. The solution enables standardised reporting and analytics through a Common Data Model, improving data accessibility, accuracy, and performance across multiple systems.
Key objectives include:
  • Delivering timely and accurate P&L and risk reporting
  • Enhancing data quality and transparency
  • Enabling proactive risk management
  • Simplifying and automating reporting processes and workflows
  • Improving analytical and testing capabilities
Required Skills & Experience
  • 7–10 years of experience in IT, including team leadership
  • Strong experience working on Agile projects
  • Solid understanding of Agile frameworks, tools, and ways of working
  • Experience coaching stakeholders (e.g., Product Owners, business partners) in Agile practices
  • Proven ability to lead business analysis activities on complex IT projects
  • Degree in IT or a related field
 
Preferred Skills & Certifications
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA certification
  • Lean Practitioner experience
  • Agile certifications or formal training
