Orion have a new opportunity for an IT specilaist to join a global Oil Major in Denmark - this will be a long term opportunity.
Position: IT Consultant
Location: Esbjerg, Denmark
Duration: 12 month renewable contract

Provide technical assistant & officer support to the ITS organization, supporting on a variety of tasks of both simple and complex nature. Responsible for the correct application of SAP processes. e.g. use of WBS structure in SAP. Responsible for ensuring timely and effective communication on IT activities.

- Ensure that SAP related processes applied within ITS are well guided and completed
- Ensure that general communication related to ITS services is properly published in liaise with Communication entity
- Ensuring compliance with frameworks, processes and standards across the ITS department-
- Support and coordinate the IS Project Framework, through ensuring project information is current and relevant, and effective project review meetings have been carried out.
- Own the standard IT processes/procedures and ensure their regular review & update.
- Drive and coordinate the ITS department’s response to audit requests & requirements, participate on audit committees
- Assist the ITS department with cost control and reporting. Monitoring and updating budgets, cost, timescales and resources used. Tracking of expenditure and follow-up on invoices, inputs to accruals process.
- Act as decentralized buyer for the ITS department by ensuring decentralized purchases are efficient and compliant.
- Accountable for PR creation process and follow-up, as well as material creation in SAP.
- Support the process of contractor onboarding through EWM as well as maintenance of existing contractors.
- Wide overall IT skills
- Clear understanding of SAP tools and processes
- Key Behaviour: Ability to work independently and efficiently to solve problems.
- The capability to collaborate with interfacing departments. A structured approach to working and prioritization.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, ability to understand Danish and/or French is a plus.
