IT Applications Delivery Lead

We are seeking an experienced IT Applications Delivery Lead, preferably with IT Project experience in the oil and gas industry as well as data management and 3D visualisation experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Coordinate the deployment activities for Engineering IT in Capital Projects / Operating Assets and implement the IT projects in line with the scope, cost, and schedule targets.

Support and assist in the development of digital visualization tools in line with the UK Capital project digital strategy. This may include proof of concept or pilot trials on new software or systems to realize business value and benefit.

Support the exploitation of the Upstream Engineering solutions by the Capital Projects, through the provision of the engineering application and business process / workflow consultancy.

Engage stakeholders at the highest level to ensure that expectations are managed and that the aims of the project continue to be aligned with the Capital Project's needs, execution strategies and plans as they evolve.

Identify and manage risks threatening successful delivery of the IT projects. Ensure that the critical risks are elevated to the business risk registers of the respective Capital Projects.

At all times ensure alignment between the IT project execution schedule and the Integrated Project Schedule of the respective Capital Project.

Prepare, maintain and ensure sign-off of the mandatory documentation and undertake the necessary project assurance steps.

Coordinate and participate in the respective Capital Project / Asset steering committees.

Manage a change control process in relation to the project / programme, gain agreement for revisions to the scope from project sponsors, and ensure projects continue to meet business objectives.

Participate in the development of IT engineering applications implementation standards, methods, guidelines, techniques, tools and control structures, particularly in the area of IT project management.

Experience & Qualifications:

Past IT project management experience in the oil and gas industry.

Past IT business analysis experience is also desirable.

Experience with data management and 3D visualization systems.
