We are looking for an Interim Project Manager based in The Hague for a project in Nigeria. Our client will soon be starting a Terminal Infrastructure Upgrade Project in Lagos:


  • Drive project planning, resource allocation, financial and technical scoping
  • Together with other functions, prepare end-to-end project plan: schedule, cost, risk, etc.
  • Work closely and lead matrix team consisting of project professionals from different functions to ensure all documents are in place to start the project.
  • Visit Lagos 1 week a month for the next 2-3 month.
  • Participate in tendering process, prepare all needed to support procurement.

Duration is estimated for 2-3 months and ideally, the same person will continue but for now it is a short terms assignment.


  • Minimal 15 years of experience in a delivery focused, project related environment.
  • Experience with managing large and complex infrastructure projects (> €50 million), preferably in the transport and logistics sector, with clear responsibility on achieving safety, time and budget targets.
  • Experience in an international assignment at a senior leadership level. Africa working experience will be an advantage.
  • Experience in project start-up and setting up a project organization.
  • Experience with EPC, Design & Build contracts and/or FIDIC contracts suite


  • MSc in a relevant technical discipline or similar.
