We have a current opportunity for an Interim Operations Manager to oversea the installation of utility metering to domestic and industrial premises across SE England. This will be based in Milton Keynes and require a presence in the offices 3 days a week and 2 working from home.
Candidates by experienced in rolling out of metering technology and managing a team as well as reporting back to Senior Management with updates on progress, efficiencies etc.

Main responsibilities
- Line manage a cross functional team of operative , driving performance to;
- Market leading level of metering services, quality, cost and efficiency
- Support the achievement of the overall SMART/AMR roll out programme
- Optimise companies onboarding process, maximising the number of meters starting on time with the correctly appointed agents avoiding financial penalties and resulting in great customer service
- Proactively manage individual and team performance, development and resourcing
- Collaborate with customer facing teams, customers and brokers to seek feedback on service offering to support company growth and retention targets
- Be involved in multi-disciplinary projects to enhance digital capabilities within operations and manage a diverse team.
- Support the team in resolving complex issues in each specialised area
- Enhance customer journeys; working with the process and performance team, and digital teams, identify and drive data improvements in the use of systems, people & processes and ensure they are embedded into Customer Operations teams & business areas where cross functional activity exists.
- Provide leadership and expert knowledge on all aspects of B2B energy operations. Upskill and cross train team members.
- Drive operational compliance, working with the Regulations team to deliver strong compliance, governance and adherence to Supply Licence Conditions
- Develop, implement and track a set of data KPI’s to monitor performance, productivity & quality and provide accurate and timely reports and insight to the Senior Management Team.
- Leading and managing initiatives and projects in the areas of data.
- Conduct regular data performance reviews with the teams, working in partnership to continuously improve quality & consistency of data across the operational teams
- Ensuring we have slick and effective processes to drive successful outcomes that improve cost to serve that increase productivity
- Establish and drive new ways of working that will improve the quality and integrity of data
- Effectively scrutinise data highlighting any risk issues
- Ensure processes are updated, embed into the teams by ensuring training is provided
- Represent ‘Data Integrity’ on all technology projects to ensure quality and standards are maintained
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-functional teams including registration/metering to success
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance tactical and strategic priorities
- Knowledge of Junifer systems
- Experience of UK power and gas systems and markets and B2B industry processes
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- A commercially focused individual with an understanding of profit-drivers and the linkages to process improvement/operational and service excellence
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Ability to self-manage, take ownership of process and system improvements and drive changes through to delivery of data insight
