Orion Group is seeking an Instructional Designer II to support our global pharmaceutical client in developing engaging, high-quality learning solutions that drive employee performance and support organizational change.
This role is ideal for an experienced instructional designer who enjoys creating innovative learning experiences, collaborating with subject matter experts, and managing multiple learning projects from concept through implementation.
You'll play a key role in supporting business process improvements by developing impactful digital and instructor-led learning resources.

This role is ideal for an experienced instructional designer who enjoys creating innovative learning experiences, collaborating with subject matter experts, and managing multiple learning projects from concept through implementation.
You'll play a key role in supporting business process improvements by developing impactful digital and instructor-led learning resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging learning solutions that address business, process, and skill development needs.
- Create high-quality eLearning modules, instructor-led training materials, participant guides, job aids, videos, slide presentations, and other learning resources.
- Partner closely with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate complex information into effective learning experiences.
- Lead instructional design projects from planning through delivery while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Update and maintain existing training content within the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring materials remain accurate and current.
- Support organizational process and system changes by developing training resources that facilitate successful adoption.
- Assist with the facilitation and delivery of live training sessions as needed.
- Ensure all learning materials follow instructional design best practices and organizational standards.
Required
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3–5 years of instructional design, training development, or related experience.
- Experience designing and developing eLearning content using Articulate 360, Synthesia, or similar instructional design software.
- Strong written communication and content development skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Experience supporting organizational process improvements or system implementations.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience developing video-based learning content.
- Experience within a corporate, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated environment.
