We are currently seeking an experienced Inspection Supervisor to support a major oil & gas development in Uganda.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising and performing site inspection and corrosion activities, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and in accordance with applicable procedures, codes and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate site inspection activities with Production, Maintenance, HSE and other relevant teams.
• Supervise inspection and corrosion activities across pressure systems, piping, pipelines and other site equipment.
• Support baseline inspection preparation and execution, including coordination with construction, commissioning and NDT teams.
• Plan and supervise third-party inspection contractors.
• Ensure compliance with inspection procedures, methods, schedules and applicable codes and standards.
• Follow up Pressure Safety Device certification and inspection results.
• Identify and escalate critical asset integrity findings.
• Support Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS) and Tank Integrity Management System (TIMS).
• Establish inspection scope and planning for shutdown activities.
• Support equipment failure analysis, modification and repair inspections.
• Develop and train local inspection personnel and Junior Inspection Supervisors.
• Contribute to inspection planning, special inspection campaigns and budget preparation.
• Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy and/or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in the oil & gas industry, particularly inspection.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in multi-discipline inspection.
• Strong knowledge of NDT, welding inspection, inspection methods and techniques.
• NDT certifications are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of corrosion and process equipment failure modes.
• Experience with static equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, pipelines and lifting equipment.
• Knowledge of international oil & gas inspection codes and standards.
• Good knowledge of inspection management systems such as SAP and RBI.
• Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills.
• Very good written and spoken English.
