Inlet Gas & Flare Commissioning Lead

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Inlet Gas & Flare Lead to play a key role in the successful delivery of a major LNG project. This position is responsible for overseeing commissioning activities for inlet, condensate, and flare systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely handover to operations.
You will be involved from the engineering phase through to site execution, working across multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones including Mechanical Completion and Ready for Start-Up (RFSU).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee commissioning activities for inlet gas, separation, MEG regeneration, and flare systems
• Ensure systems are delivered safely, on schedule, and in line with project specifications
• Supervise commissioning teams on site and manage interfaces with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors
• Contribute to commissioning strategy, procedures, and planning during the engineering phase
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and Operations teams
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements
• Support preparation and execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning schedules
• Ensure readiness for key milestones including MC (Mechanical Completion), RFSU, and RFL
• Facilitate smooth handover of systems to operations in optimal condition
• Participate in SIMOPS activities and ensure alignment with operational requirements

Candidate Profile Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of offsite/process facilities

Experience

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in onshore/offshore oil & gas projects
• At least 10 years in supervisory roles managing teams
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in commissioning process systems
• At least 5 years in a senior commissioning leadership role
