Industrial Hygiene Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Hygiene Engineer to lead workplace exposure assessments and industrial hygiene risk management activities for a major Oil & Gas operation. The role will involve both office-based and offshore activities, including visits to production platforms, storage and offloading vessels, drilling rigs and accommodation facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) activities.
Plan and execute workplace exposure assessments for chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic hazards.
Evaluate the control of hazardous substances and recommend improvements to existing control measures.
Conduct hazardous substance monitoring surveys, including BTEX and H2S.
Review and update Industrial Hygiene Risk Assessment Files (IHRAF) using qualitative and quantitative monitoring techniques.
Conduct noise surveys, noise dosimetry and heat stress prevention assessments.
Perform Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessments for office and accommodation facilities.
Lead vibration risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
Develop and deliver awareness campaigns related to hazardous substances and industrial hygiene.
Provide guidance and training to Associate/Developing Industrial Hygiene Engineers.
Liaise with relevant departments to support the overall Industrial Hygiene risk management strategy.
Prepare high-quality technical reports and recommendations based on assessment findings.

Minimum Requirements
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Engineering Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Science.
Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial hygiene risk assessment and management, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
Good knowledge of industrial hygiene standards and offshore operations.
Experience using Photoionization Detectors (PID) and/or gas chromatograph monitoring equipment.
Good understanding of gas detection methods, detector limitations and sensor poisoning.
Familiarity with Class 1 sound level meters and WBGT meters.
Excellent written and spoken English with strong report-writing skills.
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage offshore activities effectively.
Must be fit to work in an offshore environment and high-temperature conditions.
