Hydrocarbon Accounting Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Hydrocarbon Accountant for our Aberdeen based Operator client. This is an initial 12 monmth contract (3/2 hybrid work pattern)

Candidates should have a background in oil & gas operator hydrocarbon accounting and allocation.

Role overview

To execute the PHEA Production Allocation & GHG processes, as well the Sales, Revenue, and Business Reporting Processes for all company assets.
 
Key tasks / responsibilities 

•       Execute Daily & Monthly HCA processes
•       Deliver Sales & Revenue Accounting data to Finance World Class Close timelines
•       Ownership of Product Stock & Inventory Accounting Process
•       Ownership of Forties Pipeline Availability & Nomination Process 
•       Ownership of Business (AfS) and Reserves (FAA) data reporting to Finance
•       Support the HSE Environmental Reporting team by supporting the HCA GHG Focal point with any data input and delivery to achieve successful External EU-ETS & GHG Verifications
•       Execution of non-Transaction and step out processes & requests, allocation re-runs, audit actions and improvement & system upgrade processes
•       Working in conjunction with Finance & Commercial teams
•       Working in conjunction with Asset Operations, PSEs, Metering & Tanker Scheduling
 
Skills, experience & attributes of candidate 

•       Analytical data skills and commercial mindset
•       Dealing with mathematical formulas
•       Problem Solving Skills
•       Preferably skill in use of Energy Components & Business reporting systems, otherwise knowledge
•       Knowledge of Platform and Pipeline Allocation methods and processes
•       Knowledge of Production Support Engineer activities
•       Awareness of Metering, Sampling & Process Engineering
