Orion Group is seeking an Bilingual HR Benefits Specialist (HR Specialist I) to join our pharmaceutical client’s HRConnect team—an integrated HR and Payroll support function providing exceptional service to employees and managers worldwide. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, customer-focused, and eager to grow their HR experience within a dynamic, high-volume service center environment.

About HRConnect

HRConnect delivers centralized HR and Payroll support across global service centers in Illinois, Krakow, Tokyo, and Singapore. The team is committed to providing accurate, timely, and high-quality assistance to employees and managers on HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent processes, and more.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries while ensuring a smooth, positive employee experience.

Responsibilities include:

Employee & Manager Support
  • Respond to general HR, benefits, payroll, and talent inquiries via phone and case management tools
  • Redirect misplaced calls and ensure employees reach the right support team
  • Guide users through Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) transactions
 
HR Transactions & Case Management
  • Create, route, and manage cases in ServiceNow
  • Document all inquiries, actions, and resolutions accurately
  • Perform standard HR transactions (e.g., employee data changes) in Workday
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier II HR functional specialists when needed
 
Process & Quality
  • Follow established procedures, knowledge articles, and scripts to resolve inquiries
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling employee data
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and ad-hoc HR projects as assigned
What You Bring:
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of HR experience
  • 1+ year of customer service experience
  • Experience in high-volume environments
  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Spanish speaking
Preferred
  • Workday and/or ServiceNow experience
  • HR generalist or HR operations knowledge (I-9 experience is a plus)
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems and follow structured processes
  • Strong judgment in escalating cases appropriately
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
