The Role

Reporting into an HR Business Partner, the main responsibility of the HR Advisor will be employee relations. The successful candidate will have up to date employment law knowledge, confidence and experience, to provide generalist HR advice and deal with a high volume of cases including; complex disciplinary, absence management, performance management, grievance, maternity, flexible working etc, in an extremely fast moving environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Employee Relations (high volume case management)
  • Maintaining up to date employment law knowledge
  • Providing HR Generalist advice
  • First point of HR contact for managers
  • Advising employees and managers on company policies and procedures and how they apply them
  • Supporting managers with exit meetings
  • Monitoring key people metrics, such as turnover, absence etc and developing action plans to support improvement with key stakeholders
  • Coaching, developing and supporting Managers within meetings on all Employee Relations matters
  • Constructing outcome letters and changes to terms and conditions letters
  • Consulting with employees on any business change initiatives and supporting them
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders

Key Skills & Experience Required

The ideal candidate for this role will currently be an HR Advisor who has experience of working in a fast paced environment with a broad range of HR generalist experience;

  • Previous HR experience in a large, multi-site organisation (ideally blue collar)
  • High volume, complex case management experience
  • CIPD qualification or relevant HR degree/qualification (or substantial HR experience in an advisory capacity)
  • Exposure to all generalist areas
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages & Previous use of HR system

You will be able to work autonomously (with support and direction), with a consultative and pragmatic style, and the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
