Work Days per Week: 5 days/week
Work day per Month: 22 days/month
Work Location: Qatar Onshore

Estimated End Date: 31- Jan -2029
Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing and delivering all Telecom Engineering activities for the NFW Offplot Projects, ensuring that all technical requirements are in full compliance with project requirements, along all project phases - start-up and early operations phases, until the performance tests completion, provide adhoc field engineering assistance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering
Knowledge and/or Experience
10 years experience in Engineering roles, including 6 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and including 2 years experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/ subcontractors/ service/ vendor personnel.
Extensive experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
Experienced and competent in managing across all phases of project execution including start up and handover, and managing technical issues.
Strong knowledge across engineering disciplines, international engineering standards, specifications, design, and execution methodologies.
Broad knowledge of telecom/network engineering execution
Requires demonstrable design experience and hands on expertise with telecoms equipment and systems experience (OTN, UHF TETRA VHF radio Systems, IP Networks), security (Access Control, CCTV surveillance networks, Fence Intrusion Detection systems, Automatic
Number Plate Recognition), Public Address / General Alarm (PAGA), and networks (LAN, Industrial Wireless Networks, , Routers, Switches, Servers etc), Ship to Shore (SSL) Communication Systems, Hazardous area requirements (EExd, EEi, EExe).
Shall be proficient in fibre optic cabling network design (both ISP and OSP), copper cable networks and relevant infrastructure such as duct banks, cable / ladder tray designs. This shall include transition of design engineering to construction deliverables
Strong leadership skills, personal integrity, experience guiding and assisting contractor teams.
Key Job Accountabilities
A safety leader through setting and exhibiting the highest safety standards of behaviour and
actions to the workforce.
Actively participate in Toolbox Talks, Task Instructions and site safety walkthroughs during construction phase.
Ensure telecom engineering activities are conducted in accordance with local regulatory/RLIC
requirements, codes and standards, project specifications and industry practices.
Resolve telecom related discipline issues timely to ensure engineering designs meet NFW
Project’s expectations and objectives.
Participate in various project’s workshop such as Plot Plan/Layouts, Constructability and 3D
model reviews.
Ensure integration of all telecom items within the existing system (e.g. Data network, PAGA,
telecom, access control, Video surveillance)
Coordinate and analyse discipline issues for resolution. Provide telecom engineering input to
other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement, Quality etc as necessary. Support
FEED, commissioning and system completion activities and make appropriate
recommendations to management on telecom equipment matters.
Track and report of lessons learned in defined area of responsibility. The role holder shall be
responsible for identifying, tracking, and implementing all improvements derived from
lessons learned, particularly those related to existing plant sections as provided by the Operations Department.
