We are currently seeking an experienced Head of SHES (NFE PLs NFW PLs FEED)to provide leadership, advice and oversight across Safety, Health, Environment and Security (SHES) activities for a major Oil & Gas project.
The successful candidate will ensure that appropriate SHES systems, processes and support are implemented throughout the project lifecycle, from FEED through construction, commissioning, start-up and handover to Operations.

Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and technical advice on SHES and regulatory compliance across onshore and offshore project activities.
Oversee the project SHES team and provide guidance and support to project personnel, contractors and subcontractors.
Monitor SHES performance during pipeline construction, installation, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Project Management Team, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors and other stakeholders.
Coordinate SHES field personnel and ensure adequate coverage for project requirements.
Review contractor SHES documentation, procedures and plans and provide technical feedback.
Lead and facilitate SHES audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with approved SHES procedures and project requirements.
Facilitate the identification, assessment and management of SHES risks in accordance with applicable risk management processes and ALARP principles.
Participate in risk assessments for critical activities and verify that residual risks are appropriately controlled before work commences.
Oversee the implementation and monitoring of SHES training programs for project personnel.
Coordinate regular SHES meetings with contractors and monitor project SHES performance.
Review SHES performance trends, incidents, observations and corrective actions and ensure appropriate reporting.
Drive a strong safety culture through leadership, communication, engagement and workforce awareness initiatives.
Promote open and transparent reporting of SHES concerns, near misses and incidents.
Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analysis and ensure lessons learned are communicated effectively.
Ensure SHES lessons learned and safety messages are shared across the project workforce.
Ensure appropriate Emergency Response arrangements, trained personnel and emergency equipment are in place.
Support management site tours, SHES steering meetings and follow-up of identified actions.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Safety, Health, Environment, Security, Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of SHES experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, including acting supervisory roles or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Experience working with Oil & Gas operating companies, EPC contractors or service companies.
Proven experience on large-scale major Oil & Gas projects involving both offshore and onshore activities.
Experience supporting projects through FEED, construction, installation, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up.
Strong knowledge of SHES management systems, processes and programs.
Experience working in major project environments with significant construction and commissioning activities.
Strong understanding of SHES regulatory compliance, risk management and contractor management.
