Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing Machinery engineering discipline and FEED/EPC Contractor in delivery of all aspects of rotating equipment/machinery design to ensure technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule. Ensures technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, procedures, etc. developed during FEED and EPC fully comply with
project requirements.
Provide clear guidance to the FEED and EPC contractor and facilitate resolution of technical issues to complete machinery engineering activities to meet project objectives and milestones.
Provide engineering surveillance on FEED and EPC machinery related deliverables.
Monitor discipline schedule and work progress.
 
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
 
Knowledge and/or Experience
 
10 years’ experience in Engineering roles, including 6 years in the Oil & Gas industry, and including 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/ subcontractors/ service/vendor personnel.
Extensive experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
Experienced and competent in managing all phases of project execution including start up and handover, and managing technical issues.
Broad knowledge in project planning, scheduling, cost control, project gating system, project execution plan, risk management, change management, interface management, commissioning, and hand over
processes/procedures.
Strong knowledge across engineering disciplines, international engineering standards, specifications, design, and execution methodologies.
Experience with risk assessment approach in decision making.
Good knowledge in project planning, gate reviews, scheduling, cost control, change management, etc.
Experience in contract management, negotiations, and managing contractors.
Experience in high pressure pumping system and Design Approach 2 Studies model and analyse pulsation study.
Plus have been working within a rotating equipment Vendor/Manufacturer
