Head of Project Engineering (Start-Up Assistance)

We are seeking an experienced Head of Project Engineering (Start-Up Assistance) to lead start-up readiness and provide technical leadership during the transition from construction and commissioning to operational handover on a major LNG expansion project.
The successful candidate will coordinate engineering, commissioning, operations, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure a safe, efficient, and successful plant start-up while maintaining the highest HSE and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all Start-Up Assistance (SUA) activities throughout project execution.
• Coordinate engineering, commissioning, operations, and contractor interfaces.
• Drive operational readiness and start-up planning.
• Support troubleshooting and technical issue resolution during start-up.
• Manage start-up resources, vendor support, and contractor deliverables.
• Oversee final handover to Operations and ensure project close-out activities are completed.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and company standards.
• Monitor progress, risks, and mitigation plans throughout the start-up phase.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas project engineering, EPC, commissioning, or start-up support.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
• Strong experience across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, systems completion, and operations readiness.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale LNG or Oil & Gas facilities.
• Excellent coordination, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.
