Head of Procurement

We are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead procurement activities for a major oil & gas restoration project in Qatar.
The successful candidate will oversee procurement strategy, contractor performance, vendor management, and material delivery while ensuring project objectives are achieved safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all project procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee EPC contractor procurement performance and compliance.
• Review and approve procurement procedures and documentation.
• Manage procurement schedules, expediting, and material deliveries.
• Develop strong relationships with EPC contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Monitor procurement and materials management plans.
• Resolve procurement-related issues and support vendor qualification.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Commercial, Law, Accounting, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement or a related business function.
• At least 4 years' experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory, team lead, or contractor oversight role.
• Proven experience working with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Experience supporting offshore LNG or major capital projects is highly preferred.
• Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
