- The Head of Process Engineering (Senior) leads process engineering delivery across large-scale offshore and/or onshore oil & gas projects, ensuring process design, flow assurance, and technical deliverables meet project requirements across FEED and EPC phases. The role provides leadership to the process team and technical stewardship of contractors and vendors through detailed design, procurement, installation, and commissioning support.
- Lead and supervise the Process Engineering team, ensuring high-quality delivery of all discipline outputs.
- Provide technical leadership for process design deliverables (e.g., basis of design, simulations, reports, studies, specifications, datasheets).
- Ensure FEED outputs fully comply with project requirements and are ready for EPC execution.
- Provide technical stewardship of EPC contractors and suppliers, ensuring process and flow assurance designs meet required standards from contract award through provisional acceptance.
- Plan and schedule process engineering deliverables to support safe, efficient project execution.
- Review and approve contractor deliverables, including simulations, calculations, and technical notes.
- Perform/oversee process and flow assurance studies and adequacy assessments to support project scope and design decisions.
- Lead and support key workshops and ensure actions are closed (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, value engineering, lessons learned).
- Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, piping, instrumentation, etc.) to ensure integrated design.
- Support EPC tender package inputs and technical evaluation.
- Capture and communicate lessons learned and continuously improve process engineering practices.
- Contribute to mentoring and capability development within the team.
- Internal: Engineering leadership, project teams, operations and technical stakeholders.
- External: EPC contractors, vendors/suppliers, and (when required) third parties/regulators.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years engineering experience, including:
- At least 6 years relevant offshore oil & gas experience
- At least 2 years in a similar leadership role
- International project experience on major offshore/onshore developments (greenfield and/or brownfield), including pipelines and facilities.
- Experience working with Tier-1 EPC contractors and/or operator/client organizations.
- Strong understanding of execution in large-scale projects (>$1B).
- Strong technical, analytical, and interface management capability.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder influence.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Able to perform at a high level with minimal supervision.
