We are seeking an experienced Head of Planning to lead project planning and scheduling activities for major EPC projects within the Oil & Gas industry.
This leadership role is responsible for developing planning strategies, managing project schedules, overseeing planning teams, and ensuring effective project controls throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all project planning and scheduling functions across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and interfaces.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve project planning procedures and scheduling standards.
  • Manage project schedules, schedule risk analysis, critical path analysis, and recovery planning.
  • Coordinate progress measurement, reporting, forecasting, and schedule performance.
  • Assess schedule impacts resulting from project changes and ensure timely incorporation into project plans.
  • Review contractor schedules and monitor planning performance throughout project execution.
  • Support management decision-making through accurate planning data and schedule analysis.
  • Mentor and lead a team of planning professionals while collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in project planning, including 6+ years within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Previous experience managing planning activities on large EPC projects.
  • Strong experience with Primavera P6.
  • Experience using schedule risk analysis tools such as Acumen or Primavera Risk Analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of project controls, scheduling methodologies, and critical path analysis.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
