We have a current opportunity for a Head of Instrumentation & Control on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Bristol, UK.
Our client is a developer of large-scale green hydrogen ecosystems across Europe. Their projects cover different parts of the green hydrogen from production to distribution and consumption.

In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Leading and building the Instrumentation and Control team for Power to Gas plants
- Overall responsibility for technical solutions, architecture, basic design, detail design and execution of PtG projects
- Leading the work of engineering contractors in I&C engineering development
- Selection and management of subcontractors in this area (together with purchasing function)
- Close cooperation with suppliers, development partners and authorities
- Design of new systems
- Preparation of feasibility studies, analysis of markets and products
Desired expertise and skills
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Engineering degree
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing the I&C of complex process plant projects
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, a structured and results-driven way of working
- Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborating with various stakeholders in a team environment
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to quickly gain trust and build solid working relationships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to communicate cross-culturally. Other languages would be a plus but are not essential
