Head of Engineering (Instrument and Control)

We are currently hiring for a Head of Engineering (Instrument & Control) to support a major LNG expansion project in Qatar.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing Instrumentation & Control engineering activities across EPC execution, ensuring technical compliance, quality delivery, and alignment with project milestones.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all Instrument & Control (I&C) engineering activities for the project.
• Conduct cold-eye reviews of key I&C engineering deliverables and recommend improvements where required.
• Provide technical guidance to EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Resolve complex engineering and interface issues across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and early operations activities.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and recovery plans related to I&C deliverables.
• Coordinate with construction, procurement, operations, and safety teams to achieve project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrument & Control Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of I&C engineering experience.
• At least 6 years within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory, lead, or contractor oversight capacity.
• Previous LNG project experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, safety systems, and LNG facilities.
• Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
