We are seeking an experienced Head of Contracts to lead the contract management function for a major, multi-billion-dollar EPCC project.
The successful candidate will provide commercial and contractual leadership throughout the post-award phase through to contract close-out, ensuring effective contract management, value protection, claims prevention and resolution, change management, and successful project delivery within agreed safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the contracts team responsible for managing major EPCC contracts from post-award through to close-out.
Provide commercial and contractual direction across all aspects of contract management.
Develop and implement post-award contract management strategies for major projects.
Manage the change order management process and ensure effective value protection throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead and support claims and dispute prevention, management and resolution.
Establish effective contractual relationships with project management, legal, risk management, procurement and other functional teams.
Provide central coordination for contractual responses to EPC contractors and ensure consistency across the project.
Coordinate contract evaluations and end-of-contract close-out activities.
Support project management and business leadership with claims management, contractual assessments and actionable commercial analysis.
Monitor contractual risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Work closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving contract and project performance.
Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and digital transformation within the contracts function.
Contribute to the development of best-practice contract management processes and procedures.
Lead, develop and support a high-performing contracts team.
Assist in recruiting, developing and retaining experienced contracts and commercial professionals.
Ensure contractual activities are carried out in accordance with applicable company policies, procedures, legal requirements and industry best practices.
Work effectively in a high-value project environment with significant capital expenditure and demanding schedule requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience & Technical Knowledge
Minimum 10 years of experience in major, multi-billion-dollar Lump Sum EPC/EPCC Energy Projects, with significant post-award contract management experience.
Proven experience in a similar Head of Contracts / Senior Contracts / Commercial Management position.
Candidates with strong experience as a Project Manager, Construction Manager or Project Controls Manager may also be considered.
Strong experience in post-award contract management.
Extensive knowledge of contract administration, change management and claims management.
Experience in claims and dispute resolution is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of commercial and contractual risks associated with major capital projects.
