Head of Construction

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Head of Construction to lead the planning, preparation, and execution of major offshore fabrication activities for a large-scale Oil & Gas project.
This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery while managing contractor performance, construction execution, and multidisciplinary stakeholder interfaces.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead fabrication and construction activities from planning through load-out.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and project execution standards.
• Manage contractor and subcontractor performance throughout construction.
• Review engineering deliverables to ensure constructability and technical compliance.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning activities.
• Participate in risk assessments, technical reviews, and lessons learned initiatives.
• Drive collaboration across engineering, construction, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of Oil & Gas construction experience on large capital projects.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in:
  • Offshore fabrication
  • Construction execution
  • Mechanical Completion
  • Commissioning
  • Welding and lifting operations
  • Field construction management
• Knowledge of international construction standards and HSE requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
