Head of Construction (CP8S)

We are seeking an experienced Head of Construction to support a major offshore Oil & Gas project, overseeing the planning, preparation and execution of Compression Platform Complex fabrication activities from yard execution through load-out. The successful candidate will provide construction leadership across fabrication, topsides construction, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning interfaces while ensuring delivery against safety, quality and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee major Compression Platform Complex fabrication activities.
• Manage construction execution from fabrication through Mechanical Completion and load-out.
• Supervise Contractor and Subcontractor activities related to topsides fabrication.
• Ensure construction activities comply with project specifications, contractual requirements and international standards.
• Review engineering deliverables for constructability and technical compliance.
• Monitor construction progress, identify schedule or quality concerns and drive corrective actions.
• Manage interfaces between Company, Contractors and Subcontractors.
• Coordinate construction activities involving MC, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Support risk assessments, pre-job meetings and technical construction meetings.
• Ensure strong adherence to project HSE and Quality requirements.

The role specifically requires involvement across topsides fabrication, Mechanical Completion and the transition toward commissioning activities. 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in major Oil & Gas construction projects.
• Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience.
• Strong experience in construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion and/or hook-up.
• Good knowledge of fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completions.
• Experience with Oil & Gas operators, EPC contractors, service companies or heavy construction organisations.
• Knowledge of major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution and hook-up activities.
• Knowledge of offshore facilities/structures, onshore facilities and/or fabrication yard operations.
• Understanding of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities
