Job Role

Work closely with production and engineering to maximise plant availability and develop and deliver improvements in maintenance and plant efficiencies.

Key skills & Requirements

  • Must hold a minimum of a 2:1 Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Manufacturing Discipline - Mech or Elec
  • Have relevant engineering experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
  • A results-oriented employee who sets challenging goals and achieves results, whilst prioritizing tasks and overcoming obstacles.

Key Responsibilities

  • To promote health and safety awareness amongst the employees and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with all the clients polices and guidelines and ensure appropriate risk assessments and working systems are in place.
  • Planning and internal coordination of operations
  • Establish and implement safety procedures, identify and review safety issues, and review safety and accident reports and assist in corrective actions.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance of plant and personnel
  • To contribute to the ongoing development of a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System for the site and ensure all (PPM) is completed safely, cost effectively, on time and to a satisfactory standard.
  • To work along with the Maintenance Manager to provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to its optimum performance; react in a timely manner to breakdowns.
  • To maximise availability of all mechanical and electrical equipment through continuous improvement and improve equipment efficiencies
