We are seeking an immediately available G&A Analyst for our Operator client based in Aberdeen. This will be a shorter term contract from May - September 2021 to cover a maternity break.

Candidates will have a proven Oil & Gas Operator background in G&A allocation methodologies and time-writing processes, previous experience with SAP, Replicon and Work Day would be an advantage


Operate as focal point and key resource for all regional information requests related to Norwegian activities, including business requests and audit support/ coordination.

Support accurate reporting of G&A costs for the relevant teams at various locations, ensuring that monthly costs are a true reflection of actual position.

Manage and control prepayment and accrual accounts to support accurate charging of G&A costs.

Deliver monthly budget holder reporting including P&L variance analysis and associated integrity reports. Participate in cost review meetings with cost centre budget holders.

Process intercompany invoices in line with prescribed procedure.

Collaborate within G&A team to develop routine value add reporting as required.

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and controls activities in line with prescribed requirements.

Additional ad hoc support as and when required.

Experience & Qualifications:

Qualified accountant preferable, although experience in a similar role will be valued

More than 2 years of experience in an Oil & Gas Operator environment preferred.

Familiar with G&A allocation methodologies and timewriting processes.

Experience clearly articulating financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Experience supporting Norwegian G&A and/ or JV activities would be an advantage.

Previous experience with SAP, Replicon and WorkDay would be an advantage

Strong communication skills - Ability to pro-actively develop positive and highly effective working relationships.

Ability to prioritise and work to monthly deadlines.

Qualified accountant preferable - the role requires a professional individual who prides themselves in attention to detail and is comfortable communicating at all levels in the organisation.

Desire to drive solutions to areas of inefficiency.

Flexible - capable of working on own initiative, but also demonstrating great teamwork, being sensitive to cultural differences and management styles.

Problem solving skills - Critical thinking and analytical skills to provide check and challenge in an effective and constructive manner

Organisational skills - to ensure all deliverables are fulfilled on time and of good quality.

Commitment - possess passion and determination required to meet / exceed objectives.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills
