VENUS PROJECT – TOTALENERGIES FPSO STATIC ENGINEER 

Location: Paris, France then Singapore then Geoje, South Korea
Start: October 2026, subject to FID
Duration: 1–4 years, renewable
Status: Residential | Frequent FPSO missions

We are recruiting an experienced FPSO Static Engineer to support the Venus Project, a major ultra-deepwater development designed to process approximately 160,000 BOPD, with associated gas reinjection and up to 40 subsea wells.
The successful candidate will work under the Lead Static Engineer, guiding the Engineering Contractor on static equipment, piping and valves, with a primary focus on topside pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and comment on detailed engineering documentation for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping and valves.
  • Ensure designs comply with project specifications, SOR, procedures and applicable international codes.
  • Provide technical guidance to the Engineering Contractor and follow up implementation of comments and design modifications.
  • Manage technical queries and coordinate interfaces with Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical and Safety disciplines.
  • Support package interfaces and ensure requirements are incorporated into the 3D model.
  • Review vessel documentation and verify critical vessels at vendor premises during FATs.
  • Participate in vessel-related technical meetings, inspections and package reviews.
  • Ensure adequate as-built documentation is delivered following FAT.
  • Support construction activities, including installation follow-up and resolution of discipline-related issues.
  • Maintain strong communication with the project technical team and incorporate lessons learned.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree/graduate qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a PVV Engineer within the Oil & Gas, petroleum or offshore industry.
  • Strong experience with pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
  • Experience in detailed design and construction phases.
  • Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards.
  • Strong contractor, vendor and multidisciplinary interface experience.
  • Fluent English; French advantageous.
  • Proactive, rigorous and able to work effectively within a multicultural international environment.
