Orion Group is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst I to support a leading global pharmaceutical client in Mettawa, IL!
This role will support critical financial review activities related to Health Care Professional (HCP) and Health Care Organization (HCO) Transfers of Value, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Sunshine Reporting requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional with strong analytical skills, advanced attention to detail, and experience working within large-scale financial systems.
Position Overview
The Financial Analyst will assist with the review and validation of financial data related to HCP and HCO Transfers of Value. This data is frequently reported to external government agencies, including CMS, making accuracy, documentation review, and compliance critical.
This role will primarily support the review of Sponsorship, Exhibit, and Membership requests within financial systems, including SNAPP and SAP S/4HANA, ensuring all financial data is complete, accurate, and appropriately documented.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple competing priorities, and comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Review financial data related to Health Care Professional (HCP) and Health Care Organization (HCO) Transfers of Value
- Review supporting documentation to ensure completeness and compliance
- Review Sponsorship, Exhibit, and Membership requests within financial systems
- Validate financial data accuracy across internal systems including SNAPP and SAP S/4HANA
- Assist with manual entry of ACR requests
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and project-based assignments
- Provide support to team members as needed
- Identify discrepancies, escalate issues appropriately, and help drive timely resolution
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure required timelines are met
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Moderate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience navigating financial systems or ability to quickly learn systems such as SAP S/4HANA
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 1–2 years of experience within a large corporate environment preferred
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred, but not required
- Power BI knowledge is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and proactively identify solutions
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments
